UK holidaymakers frustrated by the continued lack of flights from the UK to Sharm el Sheikh can now purchase ferry tickets from Hurghada to Sharm with Direct Ferries. Prices for a return crossing cost from £58.20 per person.
Direct Ferries has signed a new agreement with High Jet which offers three times weekly sailings to the resort of Sharm el Sheikh. The 50 nautical mile journey from Hurghada takes under 2.5 hours, but would take over 10 hours if completed by road. High Jet operates a large, modern catamaran and is one of the leading passenger transportation companies in Egypt.
Matt Davies, managing director of Direct Ferries said: “Sharm el Sheikh and Hurghada are both areas currently deemed safe by the FCO. The resorts have excellent hotels and have always been popular winter sun destinations with UK holidaymakers. There are flights operating in and out of Hurghada from the UK and the ferry route offers an alternative way to travel in and out of Sharm el Sheikh via Hurghada.”
