Finnair will now offer its passengers a new range of connecting flight options at Singapore’s Changi Airport, through a new partnership with Jetstar Asia.
Effective 15 December 2015, the new codeshare arrangement will enable passengers to connect from Finnair’s Helsinki-Singapore flights to six Asia Pacific destinations: Penang, Kuala Lumpur, Ho Chi Minh City, Phuket, Perth and Darwin.
Passengers will be offered single-ticket itineraries and their baggage will be checked through to the final destination.
“This codeshare cooperation… will leverage Jetstar’s Singapore hub, improving connectivity throughout Asia and improved access to Australia for our customers,” said Hannu Sundberg, Finnair’s director of partnerships.
Jetstar Asia’s CEO, Barathan Pasupathi, added; “The collaboration between Jetstar Asia and Finnair is a welcome enhancement towards the codeshare and interline model at Jetstar Asia. The Finnair service from Helsinki will connect to Jetstar Asia’s services at Changi Airport.”
Jetstar Asia is part of Qantas’ Jetstar group of airlines, which, like Finnair, is a member of the oneworld alliance.
