Fuji Dream Air expands fleet
Fuji Dream Airlines (FDA) has signed a new deal with Brazilian planemaker Embraer for the purchase of two more E-175 jet aircraft.
The deal, which is worth US$81.6 million at list prices, will expand Japan-based FDA’s fleet to eight aircraft, all of which are Embraer’s ‘E-Jets’. The new E-175s will come equipped with 84 seats.
“The efficiency and reliability of the E-Jets have enabled us to continue growing and expanding our network and services throughout Japan. The E-Jets are a core component of FDA’s success, and we look forward to strengthening our position in the market with heightened capacity and frequency, with these two new aircraft,” said Yohei Suzuki, President of FDA.
In line with FDA’s unique branding, each of the aircraft will be painted in a different colour. The airline’s existing six aircraft are painted red, light blue, green, orange, pink and purple.
Created in 2007, FDA is based in Nagoya and Shizuoka and connects to secondary cities in Japan.
