Gulf Air announced its decision to resume its flights to Thiruvananthapuram with five weekly flights. The resumed service will begin on 15 December 2013. The airline’s decision to resume flights reinforces the airline’s strategy of strengthening its core network.
Gulf Air’s acting CEO, Maher Salman Al Musallam said: “As Gulf Air’s emergence from the restructuring process fast approaches, our focus is now firmly fixed on the future. This is as the airline undergoes a transition from a period of restructuring to development. India is one of our key markets, and our business strategy is to concentrate on high-demand point-to-point routes.”
The new destination is the fifth point in India, increasing Gulf Air’s capacity by 10% from 45 to 50 weekly flights from Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi and now Thiruvananthapuram.
