Hot on the heels of being named ‘Europe’s Leading Airport Hotel 2015’ at the recent World Travel Awards, Hilton London Heathrow Airport T4 has unveiled plans for a £1.3 million upgrade to its conference and events centre.
The investment is designed to transform the 2,509 sq ft centre into a state-of-the-art facility with first class business facilities.
Originally designed by US-based Manser Associates, which was responsible for the hotel’s original build 25 years ago, the current conference centre upgrade is the second part of a four-phase renovation project that will culminate with the first floor atrium rebuild planned for 2017.
The new centre will house 15 meeting rooms with capacity for up to 300 delegates. It will be equipped to the highest technical standards, with full video conferencing facilities.
The new conference and events centre will feature a contemporary feel with a chic colour palette of black, white and splashes of gold, chosen to promote creative thinking. The interior design plans follow the hotel’s long-standing ethos of creating a feeling of space and relaxation – separating the inside from the busy outside world.
Jurgen Sutherland, area general manager, Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 4, said: “It is of utmost importance to offer the best business centre facilities to those travelling to and from London. The hotel was a design leader when it was first built, and the current refurbishment design reflects the original groundbreaking architectural standards. Heathrow Airport sees a large number of travellers passing through on a daily basis, and the hotel is perfectly placed to provide both business and leisure travellers alike with fantastic facilities that they need.”
