The Empire Hotel and Country Club, Brunei, has announced the reopening of its seafront Pantai restaurant this week, after a complete redesign and renovation.
The new configuration for the South-Asian seafood barbecue and grill allows for both a la carte dining for up to 180 guests, and buffet service with live action cooking stations or ‘theatre kitchen’.
Freshly-caught seafood can be cooked in classic Asian style, for example with sambal chili sauce or wasabi cream, or with Western-style ingredients like herb garlic butter or saffron sauce. These are accompanied by salads, homemade dressings, and a selection of cheese and Artisan breads.
Billed as a ‘restaurant within a restaurant’, Pantai will also feature a “Zen” teppanyaki pavilion, with a capacity for 22 guests. Chefs will create an interactive experience as they cook seafood, poultry and beef on an authentic Japanese style teppan grill in front of diners’ eyes.
