Regent Seven Seas Cruises has announced that it received a record number of calls to its reservations department on Monday, in what has traditionally been known as the most depressing day of the year.
“We are firmly establishing ourselves as the market leader of all-inclusive, ultra-luxury cruising,” said Graham Sadler, managing director UK and Europe. “Travellers are really beginning to understand and appreciate the value proposition of our all-inclusive philosophy, without compromise. Add the fact that agents have an opportunity to earn some of the highest earnings in the industry, due to commissions being paid on virtually all elements of their cilents’ cruise holiday, agents and guests alike are clearly buying into the benefits of selling and purchasing a Regent cruise.”
The line has made a number of efforts to raise its UK profile in recent times with a national press campaign, a concerted effort to build its online presence and developing its relationship with travel agents.
The line has also added pre-cruise hotel stays to all of its itineraries as well as free internet on selected 2013 departures for cruises booked before 31 March 2013.
