SATTE to launch in Indonesia
UBM is launching its SATTE travel trade show in Indonesia.
The show, which is already well-established in India, will now aim to tap the fast-growing Indonesian tourism sector with the first SATTE Indonesia event due to be held in Bali from 12-14 June 2013.
“The growth of Indonesia’s economic importance in the Southeast Asian region and around the world means that there are huge opportunities for both inbound and outbound travel and tourism operators and suppliers,” said Christopher Eve, Senior Vice President of UBM Asia. “On the inbound side, Indonesia’s rich diversity of exquisite tourism offerings, as well as its rapidly increasing business travel, offer huge potential. Meanwhile, Indonesia’s vast population and burgeoning middle classes mean that there are enormous opportunities for outbound and domestic travel.”
Last year SATTE India attracted 6,249 buyers and sellers from 33 countries and organisers are aiming for a similar response to the Indonesian event.
