The booming growth of private jet travel has carved a niche for itself. In light of the growing trend, Shangri-La’s Villingili Resort & Spa has introduced a number of collaborations with private jet operators.
This direction complements the Resort’s private executive airport terminal facilities. Villingili also has access to an exclusive VIP lounge that handles entry-exit and check-in procedures for guests.
Peter Donlevy, director of sales & marketing at Shangri-La’s Villingili Resort & Spa, Maldives said: “We are looking forward to be expanding Shangri-La’s services within the private jet arena; we have seen a significant increase in enquiries and over 10% of our guests last year chose to travel this way.”
“Private jets travelers arrive and depart from Gan Executive International Airport on Addu Atoll, which is just five minutes private boat transfer to Villingili Island. Gan offers exclusive facilities including a VIP guest lounge exclusive to Shangri-La guests, with on-site immigration, customs support and baggage screening,” said general manager, Rene Egle.
This recent private jet development is line with hotel group’s new ‘Shangri-La Private Jet Journey’ programme, spearheaded in China, which aims to create a new stage for strategic cooperation with high end travel brands.
