Malaysia’s Sunway Hotels & Resorts has revealed that two of its newest properties in Kuala Lumpur will soon get new identities.
Effective 1 October 2016, the Sunway Pyramid Hotel West will be renamed Sunway Clio Hotel. The 26-storey hotel initially opened in February this year, as part of the Sunway City complex.
In addition, the soon-to-open Sunway Pyramid Hotel East will now be known as the Sunway Pyramid Hotel. The complex’s flagship property, Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa, will retain its name.
The company said these rebrandings would “allow the hotels within the integrated development to further differentiate and scale-up its distinct, individual identities and offerings”.
The 324-hectare, Egyptian-inspired Sunway City complex also features a large theme park.
