Thomas Cook unveils senior team for UK

Thomas Cook has announced a managerial reshuffle

Thomas Cook has made a series of changes to its UK management team and also confirmed that Pete Constanti, its current chief people officer and global head of destination management, will leave the company at the end of the year.

The firm, which last week reported annual pre-tax losses of GBP485 million, spoke to the Financial Times around the announcement  cementing the line that the operator was “not broken”.

The sentiments were put forward by new chief executive Harriet Green who said: “Thomas Cook, in my opinion, is not broken. It is viable and working and we have turned a corner.

“We clearly have too many stores which don’t provide great productivity,” she added while also refusing to say whether the company would make further job cuts.

Other management changes will include the promotion of Mike Hoban from marketing director to marketing, sales and e-commerce director. Dave Taylor will become chief financial officer while Haim Perry, the founder of Hotels4U will become purchasing director – Joanna Wild has already been announced as the new retail director.
