Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has announced the development of a new luxury resort on the southern coast of Bali.
Scheduled to open in 2016, Fairmont Bali will offer 170 rooms and suites as well as Raffles-branded residences, set on a hill overlooking the Indian Ocean. It will become the Canadian hotel company’s first property in Bali and its first resort in Southeast Asia.
“Our entry into Bali… will provide our guests with a rich and beautiful holiday destination in the region,” said Fairmont’s President, Jennifer Fox. “Expanding our global footprint is a key brand strategy and this resort will complement our existing hotels such as the recently opened Fairmont Makati in Manila and Fairmont Jaipur as well as the luxurious Fairmont Jakarta which will open in 2015.”
The resort will also be home to the 80-room Raffles Bali, featuring one-, two- or three-bedroom villas and residences, all with private plunge pools and outdoor dining areas. Raffles is Fairmont’s sister brand.
