Japanese hospitality company, Fujita Kanko, will open a new office in Singapore tomorrow (23 February 2013).
The hotelier, which operates approximately 50 properties in Japan, including the former Four Seasons Hotel at Chinzanso, is planning to increase awareness of its Gracery and Washington hotel brands in Southeast Asia.
“Opening an office in Singapore… helps us reach out to all Southeast Asian markets, including Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam, where new opportunities are increasing for us,” said Kazumasa Suezawa, Fujita Kanko’s President & CEO. “We offer some of Japan’s most upscale, exquisite properties and we are eager to increase global awareness of them to welcome more international travellers, and also to start building local business in other Asian markets. It is time to globalize our uniquely Japanese expertise.”
The new Singapore hub will become the Tokyo-based company’s fourth overseas office, following Shanghai, Seoul and Taipei, all of which has been launched in the past three years.
