The hospitality industry in the Middle East is undergoing a metamorphosis with increased development and more segmentation.
Keeping with this trend, a new player to foray into the region is Gateway – a supplier of technology solutions for the travel industry. The company recently set up its UAE office based in Dubai to cater to the region.
Gateway provides a multi-vendor hotel booking engine, as an agent tool (B2B) or as a white-label or customized website solution. The company can also integrate the hotel engine in a company’s own booking flow via API. In addition, Gateway offers the industry a large variety of hotel content from 25+ suppliers together on one platform offering the best net rates.
Explaining the company strategy to Travel Daily Middle East, Suraj Mainat, the new Regional Sales Director for Gateway said: “We have an ambitious strategic vision for the Middle East market with continuous investment in technology, local customer service support and adaptability. These factors have been adopted in order to enhance the selling experience for travel agents.”
The company has a strategic plan in place which includes providing the Middle East market with local support while at the same time, strengthening partnership with travel agents. “We will be enhancing our brand awareness by offering travel agents a unique product range (hotel and transfer multi-vendor booking engines). Our aim is to build a long-term partnership with travel agents, where we help them achieve their own goals and increase their hotel revenues,” added Mainat.
