A new all-suite boutique beach resort will open in Phuket this week.
Set on the island’s Natai Beach, 20 minutes north of Phuket International Airport, Iniala Beach House features just 10 suites divided into three villas, each of which comes with its own spa. There is also one Iniala Penthouse suite.
The three villas have all been created by different designers. Villa Siam is inspired by Thai culture and includes beds and sofas hanging from the ceiling, while the more abstract Villa Bianca features two bedrooms representing giant seashells.
The contemporary Collectors Villa includes a 22-seat private cinema, while the Iniala Penthouse is described as “futuristic [and] innovative”, with a bed that extends from the ceiling and a sunken bathing area.
The property is designed for families, with children’s bedrooms and play areas, while adults can make use of a gymnasium and boxing ring and games tables. There is also a restaurant overseen by Eneko Atxa, the youngest chef to have ever received three Michelin stars.
“Iniala is not just a retreat to relax in by the beach in Phuket – it is also a temple of global design, art and gastronomy. I am delighted that some of the world’s foremost creative leaders are creating Iniala Beach House – the ultimate place to stay in Asia. This is just the start of Iniala around the world as we develop afresh, innovative Residence that will be a joy to stay in and dine in,” said Mark Weingard, founder of Iniala.
Iniala has pledged to donate 10% of all room revenues and 5% of other revenues to charity.
