Some of the country’s top hotels are celebrating after being awarded new AA Red Stars at the AA Hospitality Awards.
The AA has been rating and recommending hotels for over 100 years and each year it selects the best hotels in each rating. These selected Inspectors’ Choice hotels stand out as the very best in the British Isles, regardless of style, and are identified by Red Stars.
Nine hotels were awarded red star status this year.

The Corinthia Hotel, London

The new Rosettes were awarded at the AA Hospitality Awards held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London. The awards, often referred to as the industry’s ‘Oscars’, were hosted by Fiona Bruce and guests were treated to a gourmet meal created by 2014 AA Chefs’ Chef, Nathan Outlaw.
Corinthia Hotel London received the AA Hotel of the Year London 2015-2016, and Inspectors’ Choice & Red Star Award 2015-2016.
Corinthia London opened in April 2011 as the flagship hotel for Corinthia Hotels.
Commenting on the achievement, Thomas Fischer, general manager of Corinthia London, said: “We are immensely proud to have won these two awards and to have been recognised as an outstanding hotel in this highly competitive London market. The team deliver the highest service on a daily basis and we are delighted to have received this award.”
The award event also sees the launch of the 2016 AA guides to UK hotels, restaurants, pubs and B&Bs which contain details of all the winning establishments.
