Global Travel Group’s managing director Andy Stark unveiled the consortia’s plans for the year today as its annual conference got underway.
The consortia will have a strong focus on developing technology with more marketing material through an online store for its members and its magazine to be put online.
In addition the group has signed a partnership with a web supplier to help members create websites.
It comes after the group’s own website has seen a 170% increase in traffic since going through a revamp with a new learning zone to be implemented.
Stark revealed 14S of its members have seen a 14% increase in business with 78, 652 booking through its 372 agents last year. Commission levels have also increased from an average 8% to 11%.
Cruise, short-haul holidays and the Indian Ocean have specifically seen improvements for the group, which recently joined the SPAA.
