Sharaf Travel attains multiple certifications

Sharaf Travel Consortium recently announced the completion of a three-tier ISO certification in quality management, environmental management and health and safety. The Company travel subsidiary comprises Sharaf Travel Services, Sharaf Travels and Sharaf Tours, received the ISO 9001-2008 /ISO 14001-2004/OHSAS 18001/2007 following a seven-month process.
V Jayaram, managing director, Sharaf Travel said the company pursued the three standards aligned to its own priorities. “These professional standards validate the philosophy of the Sharaf Travel group which focus on high standards for customer service. We thank all stakeholders and the board of directors for supporting this initiative.”
The ISO 9001:2008 is linked to benefits for all stakeholders, including operational efficiency and financial performance. The ISO 14001: 2004 environmental management will help reduce environmental impact, including reducing waste and resource consumption, and the OHSAS 18001:2007 standard focuses on employee and customer health and safety.
