Turkish Airlines records profits for H1 of 2014

The financial statement for Turkish Airlines’ in its first half results show that sales revenue increased by 15% reaching US$5.2 billion. Turkish Airlines recorded US$234 million operating profit and US$190 m net profit in the second quarter of 2014, completing the first half year with US$152 m operating profit and US$88 m net profit.
During the first half of 2014, 26 million passengers were carried implying a 17% increase in passenger traffic. Available seat kilometres (ASK) and revenue passenger kilometres (RPK) increased by 19%, resulting in a stable load factor of 79%. Number of international to international transfer passengers increased by 28% reaching a 44% share of international passengers.
