Qatar Airways partners with Al-Ahli Football Club

In an effort toenhance its sports focus, Qatar Airways has partnered with the Al-Ahli Football Club in Saudi Arabia for all three seasons. The airline is also now the official club sponsor.
The partnership was announced in the presence of HH Prince Fahd bin Khaled bin Abdullah, chairman of Al-Ahli Football Club, HRH Prince Faisal bin Khaled bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, honourary member of the Al-Ahli Football Club and HE Akbar Al Baker, group chief executive of Qatar Airways.
“Since 1937, the club has launched careers of many notable footballers,” said HRH Prince Faisal bin Khaled bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.
The airline is well connected within the Kingdom with 86 flights per week to seven destinations namely, Dammam, Riyadh, Jeddah, Madinah, Gassmin, Ta’if and Al Hofuf. On a new front, Al Maha Airways is set to commence operations in Saudi Arabian in the New Year. The new airline will initially use a fleet of A320-200 aircraft for operations between Jeddah and Riyadh, before expansion to further domestic routes across the Kingdom.
