The 2nd Baynounah Camel Festival kicks off

Abu Dhabi is all set for the 2nd Baynounah Camel Festival that highlights the preservation and protection of local heritage. The event is set to take place in the Al Gharbia Western Region at Madinat Zayed from 8-14 November 2014.
The festival now on its second year is open exclusively for Emirati entrants for categories of Asayel (locals) and Majahim (dark-skinned camels). The event is expected to attract hundreds of visitors and residents.
Khaled Sharabassy, general manager, Tilal Liwa Hotel said: “The festival highlights the vital role of Emiratis in preserving the local heritage. During the festival, the community ties are strengthened, thus giving the younger generation an opportunity to witness the traditions of this country.”
The hotel also offers other desert activities such as camel trekking, kite flying, bicycling and sand boarding.
