Norwegian Air continues to expand its low cost route network in the UK, announcing plans to launch services from Edinburgh and Birmingham to Spain in Spring 2015.
Passengers at Edinburgh airport will be able to enjoy non-stop flights to Malaga when Norwegian starts two weekly departures on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 31 March.
The Norwegian carrier will also begin operating three weekly services from Birmingham to Malaga departing Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays from 30 March. A day later, Norwegian will commence three weekly departures on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from Birmingham to Madrid. Then, the LCC will offer two weekly departures from Birmingham to Barcelona on Mondays and Fridays starting 1 June.
Commenting on the new services, Paul Kehoe, chief executive of Birmingham Airport said: “Although Norwegian is new to the Midlands market, I am certain that consumers – both business and leisure – will be impressed with the carrier’s low fares and efficient service. We are therefore very pleased to be welcoming Norwegian to Birmingham next summer.”
