Oakwood has unveiled plans to open its first serviced residence in Sri Lanka.
Scheduled to open in early 2016, Oakwood Apartments Colombo will offer 78 fully-furnished apartments, comprising 12 studios and 66 one-bedroom apartments. Facilities include a restaurant and bar, a swimming pool and fitness centre.
“We are truly excited to open another Oakwood-branded property in Colombo and to be extending our brand of accommodation offering to meet the needs of travellers to Sri Lanka,” said Dean Schreiber, managing director of Oakwood Asia Pacific.
The new property will be managed by Tilome Nanayakkara, who joins Oakwood from the Global Towers Hotel in Colombo where she has been general manager since 2008.
Oakwood already operates six serviced residences in South Asia, covering the Indian cities of Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Pune.
