AirAsia celebrated its inaugural flight from Macau – Phuket yesterday, a new route which marks AirAsia’s seventh destination to Macao. Macau – Phuket flight FD625, operated by Thai AirAsia, carrying 171 guests departed from Macao International Airport at 10:40am and successfully touched down Phuket International Airport at 13.05pm (Macao’s local time).

Ms. Celia Lao (below), CEO of AirAsia Hong Kong and Macao, is happy to share that the Macao – Phuket route has been receiving strong response from both sides during the opening sales period since October 2017. The keen demand has been attributed to Macao being a popular destination for Thai tourists and Phuket being a well-known island paradise for Chinese and international travellers. This direct connection has created immense convenience for travellers from both ends.
