70% of Chinese plan post-Olympic trips

The Beijing Olympics appeared to have given the Chinese populace the travel bug, according to a survey by leading web-based travel agency, Ctrip. Xinhua has reported that 70% of Chinese plan to travel around the country or abroad after the Games, the online survey has found.
Many Chinese decided to stay at home to watch the Olympics during China’s traditional August peak travel period. However the survey found that among the respondents, more than 50% may now choose to make long-distance domestic trips, and over 10% deciding to go abroad.
