The Spanish group that owns the BCM and Pacha nightclubs in Mallorca has taken over the hotel site where the Mallorca Rocks hotel previously occupied.
Grupo Cursach Ocio has started renovations work on the hotel site after the Mallorca Rocks hotel closed on 1 October, which will now be known as BH Mallorca.
The resort’s 656 apartments are currently being converted from three-star quality to four-star all with free WiFi, air conditioning and flat screen televisions.
The resort will still be aimed at the young market with plans for an on-site adult-only waterpark, beach club that will host pool parties and an event area that will host famous DJs.
Entrance to the waterpark and beach club will be free for guests as will food and drink between 11am and 8pm.
The hotel will open on 30 April and is already on sale with Jet2, TUI and Thomas Cook. May sales are already said to be strong, helped along by an offer that means free entry and drinks at BCM in the shoulder months of May and October.
