Silversea announces voyages for Summer 2027 and Winter 2027/2028

Experiential luxury and expedition cruise line Silversea announced its largest-ever voyage collection for summer 2027 and winter 2027-2028. Scheduled to depart between February 2027 and May 2028, this latest collection is made up of 414 new voyages on 12 ships, offering a reimagined portfolio of destination experiences on all seven continents.  Silversea president Bert Hernandez said of this latest offering: “Our voyage collection 2027-2028 marks a new chapter of innovation in luxury travel. Silversea’s 12 ships will host guests on 414 classic and expedition voyages to many of the world’s most iconic and hidden destinations — few of which even the most discerning travellers ever get to see, including 30 maiden calls. Silversea introduces its new Venetian Society Reunion Voyage

Silversea unveiled its new Venetian Society Reunion Voyage aboard Silver Shadow for 2026.  The 12-day sailing will depart from Nice on a round-trip itinerary beginning 19th June 2026, taking in some of Italy's most iconic destinations, as well as smaller gems.  Open to both returning guests and those new to the brand, Silversea's Venetian Society Reunion Voyages provide travelers with an opportunity to discover the world's most enriching destinations while making lifelong friends. Silversea’s Silver Shadow sets off on its 83-day Grand Voyage

Experiential, luxury, and expedition cruise provider Silversea’s vessel Silver Shadow set sail on its 83-day Grand Voyage last 11th June. Off to traverse the North Atlantic and Northern Europe, this cruise will enable guests to retrace the steps of the early Vikings as they explore 55 destinations in 16 countries. Traveling on board the Silver Shadow, one of the most intimate ships to sail in the region, guests will access the most iconic ports, including Geiranger and Flåm, as well as the smaller harbours of Rouen, Iles de la Madeleine, and more, benefitting from Silversea’s destination expertise and the most personalized service at sea. Andreas Nuessel is new UK / EMEA managing director for Silversea

Cruise firm Silversea has announced the promotion of Andreas Nuessel as its incoming managing director for the UK and EMEA. Nuessel will be taking over for incumbent managing director Peter Shanks who is set to retire after a stellar career in the travel sector spanning 45 years. The new managing director will continue to report to senior vice-president for global sales Barbara Biffi whilst leading the strategy for Silversea in the UK, Ireland, Middle East, and Africa. This is all in addition to Nuessel’s current remit in Europe.  Given the importance of the markets, Nuessel will be recruiting a dedicated regional managing director in the UK and Ireland to ensure that these markets get the attention they require.   A seasoned veteran With more than 25 years of experience in the cruise industry and an in-depth knowledge of the luxury segment, Nuessel is a very well-respected travel executive.  The German national first joined Silversea in 2012 and returned to the brand in the position of managing director for Europe, in 2020.  Under his leadership, Silversea has significantly increased its market share and presence in the territory.
