A380 lands in New York

Emirates’ new Airbus A380 touched down at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) on Friday to mark the superjumbo’s first commercial flight to the US, the New York Times has reported. Like several other global airports, JFK had to spend US$100 million to upgrade its taxiways to cope with the huge aircraft’s bulk.
