A380 to visit Asia

From 04-06 Jun, the world’s largest passenger jet will fly to Narita, Japan followed by Sydney, Australia from 06-08 Jun and lastly Taipei, Taiwan 08-10 Jun.
The demonstration tours involve the Airbus undergoing airport compatibility checks, maintenance procedures and ground handling tests, in order to prepare it for efficient entry into service.
Earlier this month, the A380 completed its first tour to Mumbai, India where Kingfisher Airlines, its first Indian client headquarters is located.
The A380 is expected to return to the Asia Pacific region later this year and is scheduled to also tour the Middle East and North America. Visits to over 45 airports have been made by the Airbus and by 2011 it is expected over 70 airports will be prepared for A380 operations.
