Abacus International has signed a marketing agreement with Russia’s Transaero Airlines, in an effort to further boost its presence in Central Asia. Having established a significant presence in Kazakhstan, Abacus is investing a significant amount of resources to deploy its technologies and solutions throughout Central Asia. Transaero, the largest carrier on routes between Russia and Kazakhstan, intends to generate additional sales in the region by implementing new distribution tools.
Through the latest deal, Abacus and Transaero will work more closely together in order to increase volume of bookings on Transaero flights via the Abacus system, amplifying its marketing and sales reach through Abacus’ network. This is intended to allow for the use of more revenue maximisation functionalities offered by Abacus and provide wider coverage for all its agents.
“As Transaero continues to grow in Central Asia, we seek a reliable partner to expand our sales opportunities. Abacus has become our choice because the company offers cutting-edge technology and solutions that suit us best in terms of quality and cost efficiency,” said Transaero Airlines’ Deputy General Director & Commercial Director, Boris Gulnitsky. “We are confident in our continued growth with Abacus’ support, and look forward to further solidify our relationship with such a strategic partner.”
Based in Moscow and St Petersburg, Transaero currently operates flights to more than 130 domestic and international destinations. The carrier covers several markets in Asia, including Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, China, Thailand, India, Indonesia and Vietnam.
“We are thrilled to have Transaero work closer with us, and we look forward to playing a part in their growth strategy,” said Ho Hoong Mau, Division Head, Airline Distribution for Abacus International. “With the partnership, Abacus will be able to help Transaero leverage our productive network to reach more customers in Asia as well as facilitate cross-selling on Transaero’s code-share partners like Singapore Airlines. Central Asia has long been a key focal area for Abacus and we seek to continue our investment in this key region as we maximise bookings for Transaero. Our deepened partnership with Transaero Airlines is another key milestone that will boost our network even further in our rapid growth over the past year in Central Asia.”
