Abacus International launched Abacus Workspace, the next generation point-of-sale giving strong advantages in productivity, content aggregation and content management. The web connected application allows richer experience to users allowing them to book air as well as non-air products. Abacus Workspace will be distributed among the existing 2,000 travel agents in India. Abacus Workspace enables increased agent productivity by reducing keystrokes by 40%, seamless integration of third-party applications via an open source platform and 50% reduction in training time delivered through fully graphical agency point of sale tool.
“Abacus continues to provide an armoury of technology that helps agents transform the way they work and serve their customers. With the launch of the new Abacus Workspace, we are equipping agents with market leading solutions that allow them to lead in the market place,” said Brett Henry, VP Marketing and VP India for Abacus International.
“The market for travel information and bookings has changed dramatically, and it is becoming more and more difficult to compete in such a cluttered marketplace. Abacus WorkSpace changes the game at the agent’s desktop, said Sahil Wahid, Director of Revel Travel Links. Citing similar opinions, Rajiv Duggal, Managing Director Kuoni India said; “Abacus is in the fore front in bringing next generation products, technologies and services to the Indian agency community. As a market leader Abacus solutions will enable Kuoni India to deliver a differentiated customer experience for our travellers as well as drive material increases in business productivity.”
