ABTA Travel Convention kicks off

The UK travel industry has gathered in Ljubljana for ABTA’s Travel Convention for three days of business sessions and networking.
This year’s convention focuses on four pillars namely ‘Our World’, ‘Our Industry’, ‘Your Business’ and ‘Your Network’ with speakers ranging from those in the industry to journalists and forecasters.
The sessions will take place in the GR Convention Centre with the events held at several historic and cultural sites including Ljubljana Castle, City Museum and the Krizanke Summer Theatre.
Topics in the business sessions include predictions on market movements; changing population demographics; the future of customer service and peer-powered travel.
Speakers in today’s line-up including Jo Causon, chief executive of the Institute of Customer Service; TUI’s Jeremy Ellis; Expedia Worldwide’s Gary Morrison and Martin Randall from Martin Randall Travel.
