Abu Dhabi police educates tourists

In light of growing tourist numbers to the UAE, Abu Dhabi Police have taken on the responsibility to educate tourist on the code and conduct.
The Tourism Police distributed brochures and leaflets in 12 different languages to tourists which raise awareness regarding traditions and customs of the UAE. The information leaflets are also distributed to further develop standards of tourism alongside disseminating greater cultural awareness.
Lieutenant Colonel Muzeed Al Otaibi, chief of the tourism police section at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), invited tourists not to hesitate in asking the Tourism Police officers for help. He further said: “The officers are always ready and willing to provide their services in a timely manner. Tourists should feel free to contact our Operations Room at 999 or contact the toll-free number of the Tourism Police via the Aman Service on 8002626.”
Lieutenant Colonel Al Otaibi noted that Tourism Police are keen to provide an appropriate and safe atmosphere. He said: “The Tourism Police work diligently to reduce circumstances that may negatively affect tourists and ensure that tourists are not exploited or subjected to scams.”
