In a strategic move to expand its presence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Accor HotelServices Middle East recently inked management agreements with Alesayi Group.
The agreement was signed to operate three hotels in Jeddah, as part of a wider project combining office, retail and hospitality components. The hotel portfolio would consist of a Novotel containing 275 rooms, an ibis with 250 keys and an Adagio consisting of 150 apartments.
“The project, we believe will become a new landmark offering a multi-segment scheme, comprising a midscale hotel, economy hotel and serviced apartments. These agreements also mark a key milestone as they have brought us to our target of 100 hotels in the Middle East,” said Christophe Landais, chief operating officer for Accor HotelServices Middle East.
The project is currently under the planning and design stage, and is due to be completed in the first quarter of 2018. The hotels under development will cater to both business and leisure travellers.
Landais further added: “Joining forces with Alesayi builds on our existing partnership agreement to develop an ibis network in KSA, consisting of a minimum of 10 hotels, by 2018.”
