Accor has celebrated the grand opening of a new upscale resort in Goa.
The new Grand Mercure Goa Shrem Resort is located in a quiet area of North Goa, slightly away from the main beaches and nightlife area.
Owned by the Shrem Group and managed by Accor India, the resort offers 121 rooms and suites, plus an all-day café and delicatessen, a 100-seat restaurant and a bar. There is also a swimming pool with a sunken pool bar, plus a separate spa.
“Our aim at the Grand Mercure Goa Shrem Resort is to create a memorable experience for all our guests. The resort has been designed as an upscale escape for families and couples offering solitude, comfort and a well-deserved holiday slumber. With unique dining concepts on offer, the resort strives to delight guests’ palate with an array of flavours,” said the resort’s general manager, Manish Dayya.
And Jean-Michel Cassé, senior vice president of operations for Accor India, said the opening represented a “significant step in our brand’s growth strategy in India”.
“The resort is an outstanding representation of the Grand Mercure brand,” he added.
Accor now has a portfolio of 32 hotels and resorts in India, and two in Goa.
