Accor opens first Pullman hotel in IndiaInternational hotel operator Accor, has announced it is to open the Pullman’s first hotel in India this summer. The opening of Pullman Gurgaon will mark the presence of four unique hotel brands from the ACCOR Group in India including Novotel, Mercure and ibis. “India today is one of the world’s most exciting growth markets with strong demand across all segments,” said Michael Issenberg, chairman and chief operating officer - Accor Asia Pacific. “Accor is evolving and expanding its business in India with a bold growth strategy. The introduction of the Pullman brand is part of this strategy to strengthen our portfolio to forge distinctive, powerful and complementary positions across the various segments.” Accor is capitalising on India’s demand that will see it have 90 hotels in India by 2015.
