Accor has agreed to participate in TripAdvisor‘s Instant Booking service, allowing users to make bookings for Accor hotels without leaving the TripAdvisor site.
Currently available to US travellers, the service will use Accor’s reservation system to make the bookings, but from a customer’s perspective the experience will stay entirely within TripAdvisor.
“Our instant booking partnership with TripAdvisor offers a new seamless channel for travellers to find and book rooms at Accor properties around the world,” said Romain Roulleau, Accor’s senior vice president of e-commerce. “It will definitely feed our ambition to lead in digital hospitality.”
The move forms part of Accor’s recently-launched digital strategy, which will see it invest EUR225 million (US$258m) in its technology over the coming years.
“Accor is a very important addition to our Instant Booking programme,” said Robin Ingle, TripAdvisor’s senior vice president of global sales. “Accor’s broad range of hotels and global reach mean more options for travellers and an even more robust product.”
