AccorHotels announces rebrand of landmark Dubai properties

AccorHotels has announced the signing of an agreement with Al Ghurair, a family business based in the Middle East, for the rebrand of a landmark property consisting of 428 rooms and 192 apartments located at Al Ghurair Centre Complex.

Both properties will be managed as part of the group’s Swissôtel & Swissôtel Living portfolio, representing the brand’s debut in the United Arab Emirates. Located within Deira, the hotel and residences offer access to the Al Ghurair Centre – one of Dubai’s original upscale shopping centers, which recently completed an AED 1.8 billion expansion.

The hotel and apartments will be managed by AccorHotels before transitioning to Swissôtel & Swissôtel Living by end of 2017 when the first phase of soft refurbishment is completed. Swissôtel Living is a Serviced Residence concept, featuring apartments operated on an extended-stay basis.

Al Ghurair Hotel and Al Ghurair Living feature 428 guest rooms and suites and 192 serviced apartments, three restaurants and lounges including an all-day dining restaurant, 800 sqm of meeting space, including six meeting rooms and two ballrooms, plus a swimming pool, health club and spa, and squash and tennis courts.

The property is located near the city’s souqs, Dubai Creek, the CBD and Al Fahidi Historical District, and is connected to Al Ghurair Centre an 80,000 m2 retail space including a cinema complex, indoor rollercoaster, ice rink, food court, cafés, restaurants and hypermarket.
