Within the framework of its investment plan, which stipulates the addition of twelve new aircraft to the Company’s fleet, Aerolineas Argentinas will present its eighth Boeing 737/700 at the Military Air Base of Aeroparque, Jorge Newbery Airport, Buenos Aires.
In this way the Company continues with its fleet renovation program. Gradually the B-737/200 will be replaced by the B-737/700 which have the capability to optimise domestic and regional travel with a flight range of 6000 km (3200 nautical miles) and which enables them to undertake flights of over seven hours duration.
This decision presents Aerolineas Argentinas with a significant reduction in its operating costs, lower maintenance along with less polluting emissions. The eighth aircraft will operate an all economy class configuration of 149 seats.
Meanwhile, we will inaugurate a new service this summer (JAN/FEB) to Porto Seguro in Bahia, Brazil. This new service will operate on Saturdays and Sundays from Ezeiza, Ministro Pistarini Airport, Buenos Aires. It will depart at 6:00am on Saturdays and 2:30pm on Sundays.
Another step forward for Aerolineas Argentinas and Austral – constantly on the look out to improve our quality of service.
