Aeromexico asks for light-skinned actors to be in advert

The national carrier of Mexico, Aeromexico, has been forced to apologise after a casting call for one of its adverts said it was only looking for light-skinned people.
The airline, which blamed its ad agency Catatonia, have both apologised for the advert, which was looking for people who looked like they were from the wealthy Mexican City area of Polanco.
The advert also said it didn’t want blonde haired or blue eyed people from applying.
The story, which was reported in the Daily Mail, quoted the airline’s apology, which came via Twitter, blaming the advertising agency:
“We are sorry for Catatonia’s discriminatory stance… we offer our sincerest apology and reiterate our respect for all people, no matter their gender, language, religion, nor their skin colour.”
