Carlson Rezidor has announced the debut of its midscale Park Inn by Radisson brand in China.
The new Park Inn by Radisson Libo is located in a scenic part of Guizhou province, southwest China. Positioned at the entrance to Xiaoqikong National Park, with its dramatic limestone karst landscape, the hotel becomes the first internationally-branded hotel in the area.
“We are extremely pleased to debut the Park Inn by Radisson brand into China for the first time. The opening of Park Inn by Radisson Libo befits the market for travellers seeking a trusted international hotel brand,” said Thomas T. Hagemann, Carlson Rezidor’s vice president of future openings & special projects. “The hotel is poised to cater to both business and leisure travellers.”
The new midscale hotel features 182 rooms with views of the Zhangjiang River. Amenities include free Wi-Fi, a fitness centre, restaurant, lounge, and five function spaces including a 181m² ballroom.
HNA Group agreed to acquire all of Carlson Hotels in April 2016, including its 51.3% majority stake in the Rezidor Hotel Group. The purchase price was not revealed.
Carlson now operates 10 Park Inn by Radisson hotels in Asia Pacific, including locations in India, Kazakhstan, the Philippines and China.
