Air Canada has posted a third-quarter loss of CA$132 million (US$110 million) on the back of expenses tied to jet-fuel contracts and currency exchange, Bloomberg has reported. The new losses follow a CA$166 million deficit in the first half of 2008. The carrier has said it will trim as many as 2,000 jobs in an effort to cut costs.
