Air China pledges support for Chinese aircraft plan

Air China has said it will “absolutely” support a domestic planemaker seeking to challenge Boeing and Airbus in the global aviation market. According to a Bloomberg report, the carrier, which operates a fleet of 200+ Boeing and Airbus jets, is likely to Chinese planes as the Commercial Aircraft Corp of China (COMAC) develops the nation’s first narrow-body passenger plane - the 168-seat C919.
