Air China has submitted an application to resume fuel surcharges on domestic flights, the Shanghai Daily has reported. The National Development and Reform Commission, which controls fuel prices, authorised state-run oil firms to raise jet fuel prices almost 26% from 30 June, following a 13% jump in May.
China Southern Airlines has already called for a resumption of fuel surcharges, which were suspended in January due to a fall in kerosene prices.
