Air China will launch a new direct flight between Shanghai and Munich this summer.
Starting on 6 June 2014, the service will operate four times a week, departing Shanghai’s Pudong International Airport every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday at 0100, getting into the German city at 0710. The return service will then leave Munich 1235, arriving back into Shanghai at 0545 the next morning.
These flight times will allow European passengers to transit to other Asia Pacific destinations, including Sydney, Taipei and Fukuoka, via Shanghai
All Shanghai-Munich flights will be operated using an Airbus A330-200 aircraft with flat-bed seats in business class.
The new service brings the total number of European routes operated by Air China to 25. Four of these are served direct from Shanghai, the other three being Frankfurt, Milan and Paris.
