Air China will launch a new service connecting Beijing with the Japanese island of Okinawa in early 2012. From 11 January, the Chinese national carrier will operate twice weekly flights on the route, using a single-aisle Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
The new service will bring the number of Japanese destinations served by Air China to eight, following Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Hiroshima, Sendai and Sapporo.
