Air France has launched its first ever Airbus A380 flight to Hong Kong.
The double-decker aircraft touched down at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) for the first time on 27 May and will initially operate four times a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays), with the remaining three weekly services being served using a Boeing 777-300 aircraft.
But from 9-15 June and 23 June to 25 October, the A380 will operate all seven weekly flights on the route.
The A380 night flight will leave Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport at 2325, arriving at HKIA at 1720 the following day. The return service then leaves HKIA at 0050, getting back into Paris at 0800 the same day.
Hong Kong becomes the second destination in China to be served by Air France’s A380, following Shanghai.
