Air India has expanded its international operations with the launch of two daily flights from Mumbai to New York (Newark) and Delhi to Chicago, both via Frankfurt. The move follows the national carrier launching a European hub at Frankfurt Airport.
The Hindustan Times reported that the new US-bound flights left Mumbai and Delhi on Saturday, in accordance with the airline’s new summer schedule. Meanwhile Air India is planning to launch daily direct services between Frankfurt and Ahmedabad in June, the report added.
