Air Malta has sold its UK-based tour business to Maltese tourism company SMS Group.
The airline has sold Holiday Malta, parent company to Belleair Holidays, for an undisclosed fee with the company continuing to operate as normal for trade partners and customers.
“We are pleased to confirm that our new owners will be The SMS Group of Companies. Being one of the longest and most well-established groups of companies in Malta, with strong credentials in innovation and travel and tourism, we are very excited at the synergies this could bring to help us further cement our role as the leading specialist to Malta and its islands,” said Martin Zahra, CEO of Holiday Malta Company Limited.
