Air Tahiti Nui is introducing new connections from Brisbane to Papeete for the peak tourist season. Queenslanders will now be able to fly Brisbane-Auckland with Qantas and Emirates every Thursday and Sunday. Passengers will then connect with Air Tahiti Nui flight TN 102 to Papeete.
The new connections from Brisbane coincide with strong growth in Air Tahiti Nui bookings from Australia to Tahiti in the first half of 2011, with sales revenue growing by 34% between January and June. This new service adds to the carrier’s code shares connecting Sydney and Melbourne to its Auckland flight to Tahiti.
Under the new southern summer schedules, Qantas flight QF 123 will depart Brisbane at 8.10am, while Emirates flight EK 434 will leave at 8.25am. Both are due to arrive in Auckland at 2.35pm, linking smoothly with the 3.50pm departure of TN 102. The Air Tahiti Nui Airbus A340-300 flight takes just five hours to fly from Auckland to Papeete, crossing the international dateline and arriving at 9.55 the previous evening. The return flight from Papeete to Auckland, TN 101, arrives at 1.00pm each Thursday and Sunday, connecting with onward flights to Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
